I went to a camera shop and bought the right one for my lens.. It made all the difference. You shouldn't ever see your lens hood thru your camera! Now when you zoom way out and use your on camera flash with it on you may see a shadow with it on. I have had the same issue just starting out when I bought one off ebay. When I bought a lens hood, I tried shooting with it. Some shots that are zoomed out creates a black blurry dark object/shade on each side of the picture and it doesn't look good for me. I guess it is because of the lens hood. Do you think I got the wrong lens hood? it is a flower type/petal type lens hood.
