amazing picture, what lens and camera ?

  3. Great pictures, which type of camera had been used?

  4. 9Nails says:

Some of these (#16 and #20) appear to be a round from a pellet gun. And maybe #2 was from the same set. This leaves me to think that the images can be captured inexpensively with fairly common hardware. Still, the pictures look great! I especially like the food items.

  5. Soda Seven says:

I can’t explain it in words, but all I can say is that it is eye catching, beautiful and attractive photograph.

Wonderful photos. I wonder how much light they had to use to get the shutter speed fast enough to capture the motion so clearly.

maybe i’m just crazy, but if you look at the 17′th one down, at the bottom right of the actual object, you can totally see what looks like the v for vendetta mask…

  25. Rifleman says:

Thanx for including the pellet rifle shots. I have a nice air rifle, Beeman, out of Deutchland (made at Fineworkebau). I freeze 2liter bottles of water & gallon milk jugs of water take them to the range for target practice. Shot a frozen milk jug of ice at 25 yard line with a shotgun slug — some ice almost reached me back at the firing line, i.e. 20yd radius of spray. The term is “hydrostatic shock”.

The person who said that this is senseless destruction has some issues I do believe. Probably a gun-hater. I used to live out in the country, deep South; a person tried to get into my house one night at 3:00 am. Glad I had my shotgun.

  32. Bala says:

Excellent photography……Awesome pictures… Wonderful camera and lens… Great one..

  33. Ratfink says:

Shutter speed doesn’t really matter many of these are done with a highspeed flash in a dark room with the shutter open. From there it’s all about timing the flash right an electronic delay circuit coupled to an acoustic/optical trigger and a whole lot of trial and error. Hope that helps.

  34. Amity says:

    wa o
    they are terrific..^^

  35. Bubba says:

Great shots! Makes me want to go shoot something! (Ha-ha!)

  45. devondave says:

    Beautiful pictures.
Most of those bullets appear to be pistol “wadcutters” What difference would a round nose or “spitzer” rifle bullet have ?

  46. dan says:

    Wow this is just stunning.

  47. brickbat says:

First and foremost; You shot a perfectly good beer, which is bad (unless the beer was bad, than it’s good). Second, did anyone else spot that weird face in photo number 16?

  48. Sokobanja says:

    Astonishing photos, realy great!!!

  49. Chris says:

Not only are the pictures great, but whoever shot the side through the thin end of the playing card has got some real skill with a gun!

  50. Jeff says:

First, I agree the match sticks could be faked. I don’t really care because I found it among the least impressive.

Second, the gymnast shot challenges any shooter who has little or no control over the environment where they have to shoot something like this. Having the subject come at you makes it a little less challenging than tracking (panning) it laterally.

The jet ski spray? Definitely for effect. The spray as billions of defined water droplets would have been most impressive since daylight watersport locations pretty much rule out ultra high speed lighting.

Lastly, I find it ironic that in Edweard Muybridge’s time many people still shot their food to subsist. Now people go to the grocery store to buy their food to shoot, and call it art.
