Tips On Shooting Interesting Twilight Images!

Twilight is a combination of light and dark that can be seen at evening times when the sun sets and at dawn when the sun is rising. This laps of light and dark is a very beautiful scene for the one who loves sunsets and sunrises.

Many photographers feel that the sunrises and sunsets are boring and want to add some energy and variety to the photography. So, twilight photography is a very interesting aspect where you can shoot the combination of day and night at once.

Tips to shoot twilight images:

Normally the sky after the sunset will be in reddish orange color and the trees and landscapes turns into dark silhouettes. This is a variety in shooting the silhouettes in different background. Don’t get confused and think twilight photography as night photography. Twilight photography is clicking images after the sunsets and the night photography is clicking images after the dark expands over the sky.

If you want to click the beautiful colors in the sky, then wait for the sun to set and click the images with different colors in the sky. Even after the sunsets, the lighting is not completely ruled out with the dark. The dark conquers the sky slowly and in this process the sky shows different colors.

Shooting twilight sunsets:
Do not worry if you do not get the perfect sunset images, the twilight sunset is also beautiful. You may not be able to capture the complete sun but can at least capture the glimpse of sunset. You can capture the light near the sun and dark conquering over the light. You can even wait for sometime to allow the sunset and start clicking the images after the sunset.

If you want twilight sunset images, do not shoot sunset directly. Wait for 20-30 minutes after the sunset and then click the images. This needs lot of patience and creativity to understand the combination of colors and the time that reveals the correct twilight sunset.

Get great twilight images:
If you want to shoot good twilight pictures, do not start clicking the images just after the sunset. Wait for sometime and then start clicking images. Even after sunset, it takes sometime to become completely dark that is around 45 minutes. So, you can click different images of the same subject in different lighting conditions. The basic thing you need to have for clicking twilight images is patience.

If you can add any extra additions to the sunset twilight, your image will bloom. You can click a river where sunset is being watched on still water and can show colors of the sky. The basic equipments you need for twilight images are: camera, tripod and shutter release cable for long exposures of the images.

Adjust the camera in complete manual mode and then start clicking the images. As your camera is in manual mode, you need to take care of all necessary aspects such as apertures, white balance, ISO, shutter speed and lens focal length too. Take care of all necessary aspects for beautiful twilight images [Different camera modes].

For making a beautiful twilight collection, just click the images of a single subject at different time lapses and see the difference in each photograph. Shooting the same subject with different background can get you perfect twilight photos.
