It can be a lot of fun to turn your favorite digital photos into a calendar. It’s a great way to share and promote your images and they can also make ideal gifts. It’s pretty easy to do and only take a couple of hours.
The first thing you need to do is choose some of your favorite photos, 12 to 15 of them will suffice. You may want to choose a theme, such as landscapes, wildlife, children, sports, portraits, famous locations, or seasonal photos such as summer or winter shots.
When you have chosen the pictures the first thing you should do is make sure they’re large enough for printing. The amount of resolution will depend on the size of the calendar. For example if it’s going to be 8 by 10 inches, the images should be about 1600 x 1200 DPI.
It’s a good idea to use some type of digital editing software to clean them up. You should remove dust and scratches and noise from them. You may also want to spruce them up with some special effects or colours etc. Perhaps, black and white might even be a good choice.
You can create the calendar by yourself on the computer and there are some websites that will do it for you if you send them the photos or upload them to their site. They will then ship the finished product to your home or office.
